W@W Bridal Blowout at Fernwoods!!!

...jon n i just got back from fernwoods and the place was so beautiful!!! and we had FUN!!! sobra!!!

we got there before noon and the first thing we saw was the booth of emil buencamino... we saw marie and she recognized us and told us to have our photos taken there by the carriage... well, that's what we intended to do... Ü but we proceeded by the registration table first... After we got our stubs and had our mug shot takenÜ (for identification purposes), I went to have my trial MU --- I got Clamar --- but i was told i'm no. 8 and to go back after 15 minutes... So, we went around first and saw the different photographers stationed around the gardens... we saw some couples having their pre-nups and mejo na-excite naman ako for our turn!!!Ü we ate lunch first then I got back to Clamar's booth... we had to wait for a few more minutes (while Jon ate a cone of ice cream -- he was so cute!Ü) and then, it was my turn! Joann was very nice and she complimented my eyes... most importantly, i liked what she did to my face (Jon did, too)... I got their contact numbers of course, and i just myt consider them on December... :)

PRE-NUPS NA!!! Ü

..We got Dino Lara, Jorge Maniquis, Ariel Javelosa and Richie Mascarinas for our photogs. The first booth we visited was Dino's (Lover's Lane)... He was smiling as always and he made us very at ease while he took shot after shot... I especially liked it when he told me to hug Jon very tight and showed me how to... he was really very nice... He showed us the pictures after the shoot and they were great..! We thanked him and procceded to the next pictorial...Ü

Jorge Maniquis' booth was called Touch My Birdie... Perched atop a driftwood was a yellow and blue macaw which Jorge used for the background of the pics... He showed us where to stand, where to place our hands and even how to smileÜ... He's good and we're lucky enough that we were among the first ones to be given the copies of the pics immediately in a CD!

Next stop was at Richie Mascarinas' booth... He has this signature shot which includes a FRAME... I realized that every couple does the same poses for the shoot... but nevertheless, we enjoyed posing with the frame.Ü He was nice and I never saw the smile wipe away from his face althroughout the day... (When the day was almost over, he even offered to take our picture from our camera when he saw Jon setting the timer up...) What more can i say - he's great! Ü

We had our last stub for Ariel Javelosa's booth -- the Swan Lake. Among all the photographers who had our pics taken, Jon said that he was most at ease and most comfortable with Ariel. I have to agree...Ü He took time to explain what he's doing... He was fun and very good at the same time...

Fortunately for us, we didn't get Emil's name coz we expected to have our pre-nups taken at Emil Buencamino's booth -- with or without a stub. Of course, it's one of the perks of getting them for our photo-video!Ü Mang Emil wasn't there (although Marie said he dropped by early morning)... only his son and the wife of his son (ack! i forgot her name!)... She was the one who took our pics in the horse carriage and Marie promised us she will give us our cd copy next time we drop by their office...

There!!! ... we thought we were done as it was already 3pm... we walked around fernwood gardens and had our pics (and short videos) taken in our cam... and then we saw fol rana's booth on the other side of the garden...It was called HAVE Some Grass (picnic setting)... As we were looking at the couple who was having their pre-nups taken (it looked like they were havin so much fun), the assistant asked us if we want our pre-nups taken too... I sadly told him we didn't have their stub. He answered me that it was ok and he will allow us to have it for free!! Yipee!!! Galing galing!!! In no time at all, we were already posing for Fol and his other assistant... They were very good, i must say... (kaya lang, mejo nahirapan na ata mag-smile hunny ko coz Fol asked him twice ata to smile with his teeth showing... heheheÜ ...but we had fun!!! This is the art poster of Fol with all the 42 couples he took shots of. Ü

We went around once more and saw more gardens and more breathtaking sceneries around... of course, we took pictures of all these and more...

After a few hours of waiting (and more pictures shot), it was time for the w@w awards night and dinner! we rode the shuttle to get to the car to get my blouse for the evening (syempre naman, change costume dapat!) ...after i've freshen up (i'm surprised my MU was still okay --- just a little touch-up) and dressed, we went to the registration table to have our names checked... WE got more freebies plus they gave me a flower of my choice (a red carnation) and proceeded to the Coral Tree Garden... The place was so beautiful with all the lights, decorations, food and the beautiful people there... I felt Love in the air!!! Jon n I sat in one of the empty round tables there and admired the table settings of Juan Carlo the Caterer. We were both famished already as we eagerly await for the program to start... We were both surprised when the ladies from the other table approached us and asked us to join their table... babait talaga ng w@wies!!! And although we were both shy, we couldn't refuse their invitation... The 3 couples at the table were Clarice n Bernard, Aileen n Matthew, n Joanna n Rey (one more couple joined us -- their names escaped my mind as of the moment). They were all nice and after a few more chit-chats, the program started already. We did not have to wait long as we were invited to eat the bountiful dinner arranged for us almost immediately... We sampled the food of Juan Carlo and for our second serving, JOSIAH'S.. The food was so delicious... Grabe!!! ...And to top it all off, we sampled the cake of Alex Franco's!!! The slice was huge and so sinful!!! I finally got to taste what i only often heard about in the w@wies discussions... We're definitely ordering his cake on our wedding!!! Ü

As the top ten suppliers were called, AVPs after AVPs shown on the screen (Jason MAGBANUA's video was really exceptional!!! waaaahhhh!!!!), and eventually, the top supplier --- GUESS WHO? It was Alex Franco who won!!! Ü --- awarded, we were so content and happy with the way this day went... It was truly an experience of a lifetime...And to think we didn't have to spend a single centavo for the event! And we just had to thank John n Benz for everything... (and we did!Ü)...

We're so excited to get all the PRE-NUPS pics!!!

I'm so excited na!!!Ü

Patio Victoria ocular... (plus trip around the Intramuros walls...)Ü

We did an ocular at Patio Victoria (which was owned by Cristina Gonzales) this afternoon and i also loved the place. There were 2 big gardens and one was being decorated for a wedding that night (which had a beach theme! - ang cute!!!).. Their package was almost complete and reasonably priced. CONS though, would have to be their very limited parking space and of course, the main concern here is what if it rains... and although my wedding is in december... one can never tell... oh well, kailangang pag-isipan to ng mabuti....Ü

...after Patio, we kinda went around Intramuros and looked at some other reception venues there like the Puerta Real, Ilustrados, and Baluarte de San Diego among others. We then climbed up the Intramuros walls and walked around the place... It was romantic in a way if not only for Jon's bringing up "my past" there... heheheÜÜ ...but we really did enjoy and we even bought ice candy (avocado flavor - sarap! Ü) which we eagerly ate... Sa sobrang saya namen, we decided that we will have our pre-nups (pictorial) there! Ü

It was so much fun!!!

Free LCD projector n widescreen c/o Buencamino Photography

I texted Marie n asked her if the package we got from them already includes the use of the widescreen n the LCD projector... At first, she said that it's not and that it costs P6000. Shempre i persuaded her to lower the price... She texted me again and said that it's FREE na!!! Galing talaga!Ü

Emil Buencamino for our Photo-Video!!! ÜÜÜ

We finally have our photographers-videographers!!! Yay!!!

We had an appointment with Emil Buencamino at 2pm earlier and at 4pm suppossedly with Chito Cleofas.

Marie and his daughter-in-law met us at their office and they were both super nice... We were talking and haggling as if we've known each other for a while already. The rapport we established was amazing and not to mention the fact that their works were really quite good!! I had just one concern... they don't do on-the-spot editing... and i made up my mind that i want it shown on the reception... And miracle of miracles, after Marie talked to Mang Emil, he decided right then and there that they will offer it come Decemeber!! And we'll be the very first client for their on-the-spot video edit!!! Super natuwa kame pareho so we paid the downpayment and booked them already!!! Ang dami pang discounts and freebies!!! ÜÜÜ

I'm so glad we waited and didn't book Charlie V. hehehe... :D

----------------

I had to text the wife of Chito Cleofas to cancel our appointment that afternoon coz there's no point na... we already have our photo-video!!!Ü

----------------

We went to SM Southmall afterwards to meet Mommy, Kate n Peng for some family bonding. :)

The Missalette; Pan Pacific ocular

We picked up the sample missalette at San Agustin at around 2:30 pm and proceeded to Pan Pacific Manila in Malate for our appointment with Banquet Executive Ms. Annie Perez...

We got to see the Pacific Ballroom, the Pacific Lounge (which was beautiful and more so, i imagine, at night time!), the staircase at the Adriatico Square for pictorials, etc. Annie was soft-spoken and very nice and she answered our queries well. She also showed us pictures of the ballroom and the lounge when already decorated, the sample cakes, the bridal car, etc... Now we just have to visit the gardens around Intramuros for comparison... ;)

...then we were off to Glorietta for some R&R!!! Ü

Real Time Videos

We got hold of their sample cd during the Expo @ the NBC Tent; and next to Jason Magbanua's videos, theirs was our next choice. We met Ms. Tess at the Caltex station near their office and followed her car to get there. Their office is more homely than that of Charlie's. But she was 100x nicer than him... :D

...We watched some of their videos and even saw one with Coney Reyes' son on it (ninongs and ninangs were mostly celebs)... It was good, actually. But then, maybe we were a bit overwhelmed by Charlie's works that's why we still didn't book them...

----------

got a call from Ms. Annie Perez and confirmed if we were coming this weekend...

Appointment with Charlie Villanueva --- UR in Focus (photo-video)

Today is exactly nine (9) months before our wedding!!! ÜÜÜ

----------------------------------------------

We were scheduled at Charlie Villanueva’s office in Makati today at 12:00nn. I left the office at 11:45 and met Jon outside. We ate lunch inside the car (we’ve somehow perfected this skill already Ü) …we got there at a little past 12 and he started showing us some of the photo albums he has done and in the process of doing. All around his office were his works. He even let us watch a video of his which was quite good. I know while we were discussing things, Jon was almost "sold"... but i was a bit hesitant. In fairness, I found his works and even his equipment excellent... but i found him too cocky and conceited... I don't want to be working with a guy i'm not comfortable with... What's more, his was expensive and he wants us to pay the full amount already!

And so i convinced Jon (while we were in the car already) to look for more videographers muna for our wedding...

...I just got off the phone with Ms. Tess Añonuevo... (RealTime video) I had set up an appointment with her tomorrow at lunch after Jon dropped me off here in the office after our meeting with Charlie... I hope we'll have better luck with them...

VL naman...

I took a VL today coz I feel so stressed!!! ..also, tom will be the start of Jon's seminar... which means i'm going home alone na... :( ...i wanted to spend quality time wid my hunnybuny...

...Jon n I just had a relaxing n leisurely day... we had lunch at Teriyaki Boy-Festi, bought stuffs for ourselves, went home, slept ;), watched a movie... then i went home and he had dinner wid us...

afterwards, we browsed the many brochures that were given to us at the wedding expo and we saw this one which captured our attention... Charlie Villanueva's photo-video packages. I'm having high hopes about it coz basically the brochures says that they have the same unobtrusive style as that of jason magbanua's... so jon called him up n we set up an appointment at lunch tom...

i'm crossing my fingers!!!

Wedding Expo @ NBC Tent

www.weddingexpophil.com

We arrived at the NBC tent around 11am... We went there wid Mama Rose, Mommy n Kate (I registered them online last week)...

we went around and the place was full!!! freebies galore!!! brochures overload!!!Ü

we ate lunch prepared by Josiah's... The food was just ok, maybe i just expected more from them... after eating, we went in the expo again and went to our "target destination"...

and i'm heartbroken... coz Jason Magbanua is booked already on December 9... waaaaahhhhh!!!!!!!!! :( :( :( ...we would have booked him on the spot coz of the 20k discount he's giving... kainis! I really love his videos... especially his MTV's!!! ansarap pa sana mag ikot-ikot but then, my heart was not into it anymore because of that huge disappointment...

____________________

We then checked out Pan Pacific Hotel... Banquet Sales Office is closed... it was a Sunday! ...although we got to see the ballroom wherein receptions are held...

Pamamanhikan...

...I woke up wid a smile today, yet when i remembered that Jon's family's coming here for the pamamanhikan, I began to get nervous... I had to make myself busy althroughout the day to be less anxious and edgy...

Jon called me up early in the afternoon and told me he will be reserving the adjacent table also at Gloria Maris coz they also invited his other relatives for dinner after going here...

Jon's family arrived here around 5pm... Mama Rose, Papa Ding, Lola n Alex went with Jon to ask for my hand (heheÜ)... We of course welcomed them with open arms, had the usual beso-beso and offered them merienda (doughnuts n mixed fruits)... No one seems to want to speak at first (parang pati cla kinakabahan den... ÜÜ), but fortunately, Mama Rose found her voice and spoke... and all went well after that... (Jon told me afterwards that before going here, they even had some practice at home about what to say, who to speak first, etc... ÜÜ). We talked about some of the wedding details... the date (why we changed it from 8dec to 9dec - our 8th year anniv), the church venue (San Agustin - which UNESCO described as one of the oldest churches in the Philippines which stood the test of time, the reception venue (Pan Pac is our choice as of the moment), and other matters as well...

Afterwards, we proceeded to Gloria Maris for the lauriat dinner... There were twenty of us: Mama Rose, Papa Ding, Alex, Lola, Tita Roma, Mark, Ate Bel, Maysie, Mikee, Jack n friend, Mommy, Kate, Peng, Kuya Arnel, Ate, Cholo, Chuchay, Kuya Art n Ate Ymat... more kwentuhans and picture-taking... after the sumptuous dinner n more chikas, Jon's family and Ate's went home already... (Mommy, Kate n Peng decided to stay and walk around...) ..Jon n I went back home muna and got his car, when we got there, i was greeted by a black/brown butterfly which flew around me then disappeared... I knew in my heart it was (a sign) from my dad that he was with us and that he approves...Ü

table 1 Posted by Hello

table 2 Posted by Hello

...we went back to valuepoint to fetch my lot n found them looking around the bridal fair (we weren't able to watch the bridal fashion show sponsored by M. Yumul --sayang!)...then we went home... When we got there, di pa ren natapos ang kwentuhan.. we even ate again (left-overs from Gloria Maris n the mixed fruits)! Jon stayed 'til 11:30 pm...

...I feel so happy n contented with the way things went today... super gumaan feeling ko...Ü (i'm sure Jon feels the same way...) haaaaayyyyy....ÜÜÜ

...ON WID DA WEDDING PREPS!!!

Weddings by Victoria

Jon n I had previously talked about getting a DAY coordinator for our wedding for practical reasons... the most important of which, is we WANTED TO ENJOY OUR DAY!!!Ü

Of all the websites (of wedding coordinators) that i've seen, i was most impressed by WBV... I gave them a call this afternoon and spoken with the assistant... She enumerated to me the services included in the package and gave me their rate... Theirs was much expensive than the others but i think, is WELL WORTH EVERY CENT... (But i didn't make an appointment yet coz we wanted to finalize the reception venue first before we book other suppliers...)

still sick... :(

...more researches in the web today...

...nothing much was done... just surfing, and more e-mails from w@wies...

Jon went here at around 6 pm with fruits and fruit juices for me... sweet talaga hunny ko!
...but he had a news that made me a little sad... he will be attending a seminar (insurance) from March 8-30 from 4pm til 730pm... which means di kame magsasabay umuwe... :( ...but i had to be the understanding and supportive fianceé so i didn't make a big deal out of it... after all, it was for his own good naman... haaayyy....

Sick today... but still doing wedding preps!

...ack!!! SL again today... i guess i'm stressed out... i need to relax!!! :(

checked out more websites of different photographers... I called up Emil Buencamino's office and spoke with Marie... She was nice and had a sweet voice. She faxed their wedding package here at home...

Pamamanhikan will be this weekend already and we still don't know where to go... and so i called up Cecille's and Gloria Maris to fax me their menu also... Jon arrived around 3pm and made him take a look at it... After making a decision, we went to ValuePoint and booked Gloria Maris for Saturday. Finally! Ü ..and i'm beginning to get nervous already!!!

...since we were at ValuePoint already, we checked out the mini bridal fair upstairs... We got brochures from the different booths --- parang practice na ren for the Wedding Expo on Sunday, which i imagine will be 100times better and bigger than that!Ü
